Huey Theng graduated from Aberystwyth University, Wales in 2011 with a Bachelor of Law (Hons). She subsequently obtained her Masters in Financial Regulation and Compliance from the BPP, London in 2012. She, thereafter pursued her Bar Professional Training Course at Nottingham Trent University and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London in 2013. After undergoing the statutory requirement of pupillage in the chambers of Shearn Delamore & Co., she was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 2014 and has since been in active practice.

Prior to founding the firm, Huey Theng practised at a reputable criminal firm, Messrs Sivananthan and she was promoted as a Senior Associate in 2018. Huey Theng has extensive experience in criminal law related matters including drug offences, commercial crimes, corruption charges, general offences under the Penal Code etc. Apart from representing clients at all levels of the Malaysian Courts, Huey Theng also provides criminal advisory work to both local and international individuals and/or companies.

Huey Theng thrives on challenge and constantly set goals for herself, which motivates to give her all in every situation she is facing. Her passion for helping people and sharing her knowledge have motivated her to turn her passion for a cause into a career. Her good interpersonal skills enable people around her to feel comfortable and confidence in her presence. Huey Theng puts her heart and soul into her work as she is a firm believer of the quote “You can only become truly accomplished at something you love”. This motivates her to pursue her role as a lawyer with a great deal of enthusiasm, dedication and passion.

Huey Theng is trilingual, she is able to speak and write in English, Malay and Chinese. She is also conversant in Hokkien and Cantonese.
